Seizmik Pursuit, Moose, EMP, the list of UTV side and rear-view mirrors goes on and on. Throw aftermarket Jeep mirrors into the equation and it’s about enough to make your head spin. So which mirrors should you choose for your Polaris Ranger Crew. Well, with regards to side Polaris Crew mirrors, the answer will depend on if you run doors on your rig -- and if so, it will also depend on if your Ranger doors are hard or soft. Many riders with soft doors on their Polaris Crews swap them out for hard doors to stay warm in winter. Many mirrors for the Polaris Ranger Crew clamp right onto the roll cage, but this is difficult -- if not impossible -- as the doors get in the way. While you can do a bit of fabbing and weld a tab onto your doors, you could also look into Seizmik doors for your Ranger. They have an interior metal plate on the framing that the mirrors bolt on to, meaning you don’t have to fab one up yourself.
Some Polaris Ranger Crew side mirrors require one drill hole to work with hard doors. We would suggest getting either horizontal or vertical mirrors, as they tend to be less shaky. However, again with Seizmik mirrors, they have pro-fit mirror options for full doors that require no drilling, and no clamping to the pillar. The perfect option for those who just want to maximize their ride time. For those who don’t mind taking a little extra time, you can go with the Seizmik mirrors for your Crew, pull your inner door skin off, drill the required holes, and secure the mirror with washers and locknuts. It takes a bit of effort but it looks like came that way straight from the factory.
Rigid Industries is another great UTV accessory manufacturer that also makes great side mirrors for Polaris Ranger Crews with hard doors. They mount right onto the door, look really nice, and even have a built-in light and turn signal. A flashy option for those looking to one-up their friends.
But whatever Polaris Ranger Crew side mirrors you decide to go with, make sure you mount them so you can see both sides from the driver’s seat. If you use the brackets that mount to where the door latches mount you may not be able to see behind you using the passenger-side mirror. If you direct-mount the mirrors to the doors you’ll have a lot more control over where they are positioned so you can optimize your line of sight!
