Wiring and Harnesses

Whether you're wiring up light pods, winches, stereos, or any other electronic accessory in your Polaris Ranger Mid-Size, we've got the wiring and harnesses you need to get the job done. It doesn't matter if you're building your setup from scratch, or the kit you purchased didn't include a specific component, if you need extra wiring or a particular wire harness for your Mid-Size Polaris Ranger project, we're sure to have what you're seeking. We know that for a lot of people, working with the electric system in the Mid-Size Ranger can be frustrating at best, and completely daunting at worst. And this is why we're here to help. You don't need to be an electrician to install electrical accessories in your UTV, and anyone with a simple toolset can do it. But if you're missing parts and things aren't aligning or fitting in place, you might need some wiring or new wire harnesses. Most times, you'll want to wire relays and fuses between your battery / bus bar and your lights, winches, radios, and other accessories. However, some wire harnesses have built-in relays and fuses, enabling you to skip a few steps and attach your accessories directly to the buss bar or your secondary battery. It is also possible to use the keyed wire to power lights, but things like light bars need some serious power, and a relay straight to the battery is a better way to go.

Not all wires and wire harnesses are compatible, and different accessories may require different wire gauges. Lights, for example, that draw less than two amps would only require 18- to 14-gauge wire to work -- and like usual, always make sure to add a fuse for safety. Also, regardless of whether you're using cheap speaker wire or higher 12-gauge wire for your stereo, if you run any sort of power wire next to any kind of signal wire, like an RCA or speaker wire, you might get static noise through your speakers. Grounding issues and shorts can also be to blame, and simple fixes can usually be found -- the hardest part is finding them! But no matter what you're adding to your machine, if you need extra wire in any size or a wire harness that you cannot find elsewhere, Everything Polaris Ranger has your back!
